Our Story
About Us
A family-run cabin rental on the fjord in Kongsvik, where Lofoten meets Vesterålen.
Our Story
Arctic Cabin grew out of something simple: the wish to share what we value most about Northern Norway — the closeness to the water, the calm of the landscape, and the freedom of having a boat and open nature right outside the door.
We are a family business in Kongsvik, at the border between Lofoten and Vesterålen. Brygga and Tømmerhuset are our own properties, and we look after them ourselves. When you book with us, you are in direct contact with the people who know the place, the cabins, and the area best.
What we offer
Both cabins sit on the water, with a dock and motorboat included in every stay. They are well-maintained, fully equipped, and prepared with care before each arrival. We do not try to oversell what they are. Instead, we aim to give an honest picture of what to expect: good surroundings, closeness to nature, and a stay that feels simple, quiet, and real.
Our relationship with the place
Kongsvik is a quiet, weather-beaten coastal village, shaped by the sea, the seasons, and long traditions. That shapes how we run things too. We want to take good care of the properties, respect the nature around us, and contribute positively to the community we are part of. For us, this is not just about renting out cabins — it is about being stewards of a place we are personally connected to, and giving our guests a sense of the same.
